What a great day out. Iris was good company and very interesting to chat too. Swimming in the rivers was lovely and refreshing , the scenery is stunning. A lovely lunch , a dip in the hot springs and all topped off with an ice-cream.
Allen est un excellent guide très expérimenté et qui parle très bien l’anglais. Les activités sont très variées, en particulier la baignade dans les sources thermales de la Butterfly Valley. Le déjeuner de cuisine aborigène Ami est très copieux et savoureux.

This was already my second tour with Island Life Taiwan (the first was in 2019), and I was thrilled that Iris was our guide again! Sadly, Taroko Gorge was closed this time due to a recent earthquake, but the Hualien Rivers and Valleys Tour was just as much fun. Iris just knows how to give you a truly memorable tour (in the best way), enjoying the activities with us, while amazing us with all her knowledge about the area and its history. If you want to make the most of your time in Hualien (or even Taiwan), a tour with Island Life Taiwan is an absolute must! Thank you again, Iris, for spending this wonderful day with us.

We brought our 7 & 9 year old daughters on the Rivers & Valleys tour with Iris, not sure if they would enjoy it. But it was their favorite part of the trip so far! Booking with Jamella was easy and Iris our guide was funny and helpful. A real passion for Taiwan. We would recommend this day to anyone who likes nature and likes to swim.
Awesome day with Island Life Taiwan! We booked last minute and Island Life was great at accommodating us. We didn’t think we’d like the Butterfly Valley hot springs as we are more wild nature people, but it was definitely one of the highlights of our trip in Taiwan. Gorgeous natural surroundings. The rivers in the Mugua River Gorge were so blue, we’ve never seen anything like it. We definitely recommend Island Life Taiwan and this Rivers & Valleys tour to everyone.
Wild time in Hualien!
We did the Rivers & Valleys tour with Iris and what an amazing day it was. So nice to go out to a beautiful jungle river and we had it all to ourselves to swim and play. Very, very fun day! The falls and hot springs were also very nice. Recommend

Great times at the river!
Wow Taiwan is beautiful. Nothing experience like getting out to a river in the mountains with no one around! We even found some real jade in the creek we’re taking home with us. Memory of our trip! Thanks!
